I have worked to ensure that the concerns and priorities of residents in every community across Niagara-on-the-Lake are heard and addressed.

OLD TOWN

• Advocated for effective solutions to flooding, parking, and traffic flow.

• Opposed the Parliament Oak development to protect the character of the residential area.

• Opposed the 200 John Street (Rand) development on heritage and stormwater concerns.

• Opposed the sale of municipally owned property.

VIRGIL

• Advocated for parks, green space, and tree retention in new subdivision proposals.

• Opposed the sale or use of municipal property for private development.

• Opposed seeking a Minister’s Zoning Order to facilitate development.

ST. DAVIDS

• Advocated for adequate stormwater and wastewater infrastructure as part of subdivision approvals.

• Opposed the proposed roundabout at York Road and Four-Mile Creek Road.

 

GLENDALE

• Advocated for strong environmental considerations in hotel development.

• Supported the creation of an Ecopark.

• Opposed excessive building heights, including proposals of up to 24 storeys.

 

QUEENSTON

• Advocated for traffic safety improvements to protect residents and visitors.

 

RURAL NOTL

• Protected the Greenbelt boundaries and agricultural lands.

• Objected to commercialization of agricultural lands.

• Advocated for agriculture friendly clauses in Official Plan

• Supported Bill 21 Protect Our Food Act 2025

MY BACKGROUND

Niagara roots
Born and raised in Niagara, with family roots in Niagara-on-the-Lake, where my grandparents farmed.

Local education
Brock University graduate, specializing in Geography and Urban Planning.

Broad professional career
Management experience across government, academia, science, research, and the private sector, including Natural Resources
Canada, NSERC, the University of Victoria, and the Canadian Institute of Surveying and Mapping/Geomatics.

Entrepreneurial experience
Founded and operated my own geomatics consulting company, where I learned first-hand the importance of managing budgets, controlling costs, and balancing investment with results.

Family
Proud mother and recently a grandmother, giving me an even stronger commitment to building a community that will serve future generations.

My commitment to Niagara-on-the-Lake began long before I served on Town Council.

Fought to maintain our local health infrastructure, including advocating to save the Niagara-on-the-Lake hospital.

Supported agriculture and our farmers 
Advocated for the protection of agricultural lands and the long-term viability of local farming.
 

Recognized for environmental leadership 
Received the Niagara-on-the-Lake Volunteer Recognition Award

Advocated for our urban trees 
Worked with the Niagara-on-the-Lake Conservancy to advocate for an urban tree by-law.

Defended democratic access 
Fought the proposed reduction of polling stations in St. Davids and Queenston

Championed regional balanced growth and environmental policy 
Served on the Niagara Region Smarter Niagara Steering Committee, advising on ways to enhance and protect the Region’s built and natural environments.
